Auto
Salon is Australia’s largest automotive lifestyle
show incorporating the best in modified show cars, a
national model search contest, live concert
entertainment, exclusive appearances and thousands in
prize giveaways from centre stage.
Show
cars from across Australia and New Zealand come
together in the hundreds to compete for the top honour
of being nominated the ultimate King of Auto Salon.
The competition is always fierce with entrants
building the hottest modified rides of unbelievable
description, unique themes, wide-body modifications
and high-tech gadgetry.
Additionally,
Auto Salon has always looked to showcase the best from
overseas. A few of the past feature cars have included
the pearlescent orange glow of the Chargespeed S2000
appearing exclusively in Australia through Auto Salon.
This wide-bodied, graphics-laden, all-carbon-fibre
interior Honda S2000, has never been seen outside
Japan until the 2006 show series. The gravity defying
Air Rider was another crowd favourite as it
demonstrated its extravagant engineering by literally
launching itself almost three-meters off the ground
vertically from all four wheels. |

Auto
Salon is more than just a car show. Adding great
highlight to the weekend show is the Auto Salon
National Model Search Contest. This year the model
comp has grown in total cash and prizes to more than
$75 000 making it one of the biggest full blown
modelling competitions in the country!
The
model search runs national across both countries
(Australia and New Zealand) with the aim to discover,
promote and encourage the future modeling talents and
careers of all the contestants. Past winners of the
model search have been featured in various magazines
including our very own premium publication Autosalon
Magazine, plus being editorially featured in Inside
Sport, FHM, and overseas. The winners have also
participated in numerous advertising campaigns for
Auto Salon across newspapers, magazines, posters and
of course television commercials.
On
top of the $4500 cash prize, is the $10 000 contract
to travel and host all the Auto Salon shows across
Australia and New Zealand as the new face of the
brand. Plus be featured in all the Auto Salon
advertising campaigns through print and television
mediums. This year the contest has risen even further
in stature as we also look to find not only the new
face of Auto Salon, but also the new face of Mothers
Car Care, The Face of Revo, The Face of Milltek and
the face of international clothing label Dickies.
Adding to the entire contest is also a 40” Samsung
Plasma TV, a $1000 car stereo system, MP3 players,
$1000 TiGi gift packs, $5000 photo shoot and more.
This year the Auto Salon National Model Search Contest
will definitely be a serious contender for the

Non stop events, rides and live entertainment make for a great time for all the family at the Gold Coast Bike Week.
2007 presented fantastic prizes including another Harley-Davidson.
Gold Coast Bike Week is host to the Australian round of the AMD World Championships of Custom Bike Building.
